Viewed from the outside, the purpose of a door is to open, from the inside, its meaning is the opposite.The function of the individual book is to be read, but a shelf of books is always sculptural, the same can be said for a building, it has a funtion on the inside , but on the outside is sculptural, i like the idea of taking the outside of the building and moving it inside.

before leaving for carlisle i went to see tracey emins work at the gallery of modern art, what i found really interesting is my view of the bed from 10 years ago to now. when it first cam out i was 19 working as a sales assistant in a shop and i thought that is not art is a load of crap, but now 10 years on after stuying art for the last 4 years, i found myself enjoying tracey emins work, her art and personal life are very closely linked together everything she dos can produce art from it .her arteven come out of her dreams , its not the way i want to die 

, i have very strange dreams my last one i was spanking a monkey what type of art wouldat produce ??

michael landy conceptual artist, gave me the idea of giving my clothes back to the public ,by changing them in some way and replacing them back in to the shops,

he took all his personal belongings and destroyed them and recycled them, very thing he owned even precious photographs, he made sure everything went to a land fill because he didn’t want, in years from now  like his shredded passport turning up in a gallery somewhere.the art work became the process of destroying,  i don’t want to destroy them i still wanted them to exist,  i don’t mind someone else owning then , there is every chance that someone will just throw them in the bin, then the process of putting them in the shops would become the art work(s), destroying his belonging  i think he felt liberated. i would probably feel a sense of loss,
