jenny holzer works with text in all of her art, what i find interesting is that she places these words on to public spaces, my exhibition space will be changed in to a childs play area, and i hope that who ever comes to the exhibition uses  it as that or lets their children use it i want them

to interact with the space, i had an idea for i site specific piece of art work, projecting the words of the curse on to the statue of the border revier that is up by brampton road, may be possible in the future but not sure i could do that right now.

i hadnt realised until now that recent artist talk with chad mcCail has influenced they way im working, in his work he used the figure in a very similar way that i had been, his work is interesting and bizzare all at the same time, very illistrative work which is where i am at at the moment

well it nearly xmas time and we still got alot of building to do, bit worried we definatly wont have it finished till after we come back from the xmas break  not had a chance to do much work the last couple week, but when i come back after xmas i should have some done over the xmas period and after, merry christmas

the building of the spaces has started, although it apears that everyone thinks its a excuse to have an extra 2 weeks holiday at xmas, with the exceptions of  a few people, mainly all the scots, geoff and kit, and 2 the techincal team, some how i became the brackets queen i think i managed to do a fair few of them painting is going to be a nightmare, we only have till the 19th to get it all done

cut up the curse and put it in to a hat  and picked out the words at random,  it  is too long to put the whole thing up on here  just put the first paragraph up, ive seen people trying to read it and having very confused looks on there faces which is what i wanted,

finally recieved our exhibition spaces today im in the mezz at the top of the stair, will be as good area because the first thing you see when you walk up the stairs will be the writing on planning to write, after many discussions with different tutors, i decided not to destroy the curse but to change it, i have cut up every 1069 words of it and placed it in to a hat, picking the words out at random re-wording the curse, so it becomes non-sensical.  having this in the installation for the exhibition.

part of the my istallation im going to have a book for anyone to use and look at, this will be placed on a small childs table. i seen a set in rymans in the high street of carlisle that could work quite well it have crayons for legs and backs, possible idea for table and chairs.
