feeling that haven’t got enough drawing so started off by drawing the car park area,come to the conclusion that its very grey and cold, mind you it is all concrete and that’s what concrete is like cold hard and unwelcoming. so decided that what concrete really need is a hint of colour.

continuing to draw the car park i blocked in with a splash of colour here and there, i still wasn’t getting the effect i wanted, so i decided to go back and take more pictures, of the car park but zooming in to certain areas that i found interesting.

got the pictures back printed them off and using brightly coloured gum paper, i have been playing about with coll-aging, cutting the concrete away and replacing it with bright colour, not unlike the work of piet mondrian.

ive decided to use the top car park of the ocean terminal, as my commission project, it has a lot  more scope for ideas than the other places i was looking at.

went up and took a fair few pictures of the site to get ideas , i was looking at the walls off the car park looking at the concrete and the patterns that it made. i will probably become obsessed with concrete by the end of the project,

well got our new 5 week project on Tuesday, and I’m still trying to decide on which site to use, there is quite a few to choose from, its a toss up between the skandi navica only because i like to say the name, then there’s the craigintinny marbles, it has a human interest to it good story behind the marbles. then there the car park roof of  ocean terminal, this one probably has the most scope for a art work as its a fairly sculptural building , and this project i was looking to do more sculptural work.
