Over the last two weeks, i was given a project, with the title inside/outside. The direction i took these two words in, was more of a literal sense than a visual one. I decided to look at people and how they hide their true feelings on the inside, yet project a lie on the outside, to stop either parties being hurt.

I started by asking a number of people if they had ever told a lie, and what the lie was. By watching there reactions to my questions, this gave me the idea of using video in my work, giving it a documentary interview feel. As a documentary is actual facts, lies are fiction.

The video it’s self consists of people being asked questions, that they knowingly have lied to, with subtitles of what they really think and feel.At the end of the video, I am the only one that is telling the truth, with the written word.

have you all read the email alan sent to us, on the use of hotmail,yahoo and anyother site thats related to comunnication, and the ban on them by the end of september, i think this is fringing on our rights to communicate with the people outside college and to recieve and send information,the only way we can communicate now is by student mail which is not the greatest, anyone else agree then leave me comment. i also think this should be brought up and next student rep meeting . who is student rep???? we go one yet

new two week project is titled, inside/ outside this is a harder one than the last project as its not as restricted, i have been coming up with many idea’s, including space in between and arcitecture but, i keep going back feeling and how people, tell little white lies to save other people from getting hurt by something they say.

on the outside they are lying, but on the inside is the truth and what they really are thinking and feeling,i think most people can identify with this, it might take a video form so watch this space i may post it too once its complete
